Facility Information
Dennis Malone Aquatic Center (DMAC) 
Built in 1995 and named after Superintendent Dennis Malone. Known locally to residents as "DMAC", the indoor facility operates year-round, providing numerous swim activities the whole family can enjoy. DMAC offers learn to swim lessons, water exercise classes, open swim, competitive swim teams, and annual or seasonal memberships. 
Amenities:
 - 187,000 gallon indoor pool
 - Pool temperatures kept at 82 - 84 degrees with air temperatures kept 2-4 degrees warmer than the pool temperature
 - One-meter diving board
 - Six (6) lanes of open swim space 
 - Depth: 4 - 12ft.

**Aquatics facility restrooms are not open for the public. Restrooms are only available for pool users.**


Weather Closure Policy
Winter Weather Closure Policy 
Then Bristol Public Schools are closed, the Dennis Malone Aquatic Center (DMAC) will be closed. When Bristol Public Schools observe a delayed opening, DMAC will open at noon. When Bristol Public Schools dismiss early, DMAC will close early with notification to all participants. 

Thunder & Lightning Closure Policy 
The Dennis Malone Aquatic Center (DMAC) closes for increments of 20 minutes for each clap of thunder heard. DMAC reserves the right to close at any time due to inclement weather.

Aquatics Guide
Aquatics in the All-Heart City
Since 1996 the Dennis Malone Aquatic Center has been the city’s premier indoor aquatic center. Featuring six-lanes of open  swimming space, a one-meter diving board, and year-round programming. The city of Bristol is home to one indoor pool and two outdoor pools. 
The Dennis Malone Aquatics Center is a competitive swimming facility that is proudly called their “home pool” by five community swim teams. Additionally, the pool is used for Red Cross learn to swim programs, our own recreational swim team, community lifeguard training courses, water exercise classes,  and members of the community for daily swimming.
The city of Bristol operates two public municipal pools in both Page Park and Rockwell Park. The pools are open seasonally for an 8-week period, daily from 1pm-7pm.  Page pool features a large swimming area for families. Rockwell offers a smaller, shallow-water swimming experience. 
Splash pads can be found all throughout the all-heart city. Located at Stocks Playground, Page Park, and Rockwell Park. The splash pads are a great place to cool off during the summer! 
The city of Bristol has many aquatic options for you and your family! Since the early 1950’s Bristol has prided itself on the beauty of its parks and recreation offerings. 
Bristol Splash Swim Team is a community, recreational swim team that participants in the Yankee Swim league that runs from October through March. The program is perfect for entry-level competitive swimmers that want to get stronger. We are proud to announce that our Splash team is now a USA Swim Team.
Year-round Learn to Swim program is available at all of our aquatic facilities and is offered at convenient times for your families hectic schedules. From ages 6 months to age 15. The progressive curriculum is designed to provide the highest degree of instruction possible. Each thirty minute class will focus on swimming skills with attention to safety.  Private swim lessons and specialized swim lessons are also available, please inquire!
Lifeguard Training & Water Safety Instructor Training is offered to members of the community who are interested in obtaining certification as a lifeguard or WSI. Courses are for those who are at least 15 years of age.  Pre-requisites apply for these courses. Please inquire for more information on these advanced level courses.
The Dennis Malone Aquatic Center offers a variety of water exercise classes to challenge your core and supercharge your muscles. From low-intensity to high-intensity. All classes can be tailored to your ability. Currently offering classes such as: Water walking, aqua-boot camp, Fit Float classes on our Glide fitness boards, and traditional aquatic fitness classes available day and night. There is a class for everyone!
