Caring Closet Drive-Through Donation Drop-Off
The Youth and Community Services division, in conjunction with the Bristol Exchange Club, needs your help restocking the Caring Closet!
The Caring Closet offers income eligible families basic need items free-of-charge. The program helps meet the immediate basic needs of families by supplying unopened diapers, wipes, baby wash, formula, clothing, etc. for children. Services are intended for clients who are experiencing difficulty meeting their daily needs. The Caring Closet is housed under our Parent and Child Program operating out of the Youth and Community Services building at 51 High Street in Bristol, CT 06010.
There will be a Drive-through Donation Drop Off for the Caring Closet on Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Attached below, please find a list of the necessities that the Caring Closet is looking to restock.
Cars will flow into the Youth and Community Services building parking lot from High Street and drop off donations in front of the building where volunteers will unload your car without having to get out. Cars will then proceed to exit onto Bellevue Avenue.
The Caring Closet program operates on a first-come, first-served basis. All items are supplied through community donations and may not always be in stock. The Caring Closet is currently operating by appointment only.
The Parent and Child Program’s primary focus is on the prevention of child abuse, neglect and family violence. The mission of the PCP includes promoting and supporting healthy families through education and resources that help them understand how to work together to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children to live and grow.
