Announcements

  • In light of the potential public health risks presented by the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Bristol Department of Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services has made the decision to take the following precautionary measures effective Friday, March 13, 2020:

    • All department recreation, aquatics and youth programs have been cancelled March 14, 2020 through March 30, 2020. We will continue to monitor the situation and determine if spring programs will be delayed. Account credits and refunds will be issued as appropriate.
      • The Dennis Malone Aquatics Center will be closed effective 3/17/20 until further notice.

    • All City Parks will remain open at this time. Extra sanitation is being conducted on park playground equipment and facilities. If you utilize park space we encourage you to practice social distancing and engage in activities like hiking, bike riding, meditation, and exploring nature.
    • Department staff will be working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. We encourage you to contact us via e-mail, by phone, and via Facebook.

This decision was made to best protect the health and safety of our patrons, staff and the community as a whole. We appreciate your cooperation and continued support during this difficult and unprecedented time. This situation is being monitored on an hour to hour basis and is subject to change. Changes will be posted on our Facebook, via e-mail blast to subscribed e-mails and on our website www.bristolrec.com.
